It’s pretty impossible to be a teenager today because you have hundreds of things to deal with. It can feel like it’s too much and you just want to close your eyes until you become an adult. Finding your first job is tough then you find out getting up and going to work every day is even tougher. You start dating and you try to find someone who cares about you. All of these things and many more can be a lot harder if you’re suffering from acne.

At times it must feel like you don’t want to go out of the house, but you know you must keep your life moving along in the right direction. Instead of waiting for your acne to magically disappear you should start looking into some great ways to get rid of it. I know you’ve tried creams before, but maybe it’s going to take more than that. Maybe it’s going to take a complete lifestyle change. Here are a few things you should start trying today because once your acne is gone you can be truly happy again.

Leave the face alone

Think about how many things you touch during the day on a regular basis. Your hands land on almost anything and you have no idea what is on your fingers. Then you suddenly have an itch on your face, so you take whatever is on your fingers and smudge it over your skin. You can’t allow yourself to do this if you have acne because your face with never be clean. It’s hard to stop, but unfortunately it’s just something that has to be done.

Wash skin twice

This is tricky because you need to wash your face, but you don’t want to wash it too much because it can do almost as much harm as not washing at all. The best thing you can possible do is to wash your face twice per day. Do it once in the morning and again at night. Use a mild soap that doesn’t irritate your skin and make sure the facecloth is clean. Don’t start scrubbing too hard because it’s going to cause you more problems.

Start to exercise

Exercise isn’t just about getting a six pack and building big muscles. When you’re putting yourself through a strenuous workout you will feel great afterwards. All the stress you’ve been building up inside your system will be gone. I’m sure you already know breakouts happen regularly when you’re feeling stressed, so at least there will be no chance of that. You don’t need to exercise until you feel like fainting, but give it your best effort.

Eat good food

Treating your body right is one of the best ways to say goodbye to acne and you can do that by eating right. You only get out if it what you put into it. This is very true and shoving junk down your throat isn’t going to do you any favors. Make sure you’re eating lots of fresh fruit and vegetables because they are full of vitamins. Omega-3 is also great for your skin and you can find it in oily fish, plus don’t forget to eat nuts and seeds.

Go see a dermatologist

When you first discover spots it’s easy to go and buy some cream of the shelf, but it’s not likely to solve your problem. The majority of times it will help without producing miracles. You might then go to your doctor who will prescribe you something stronger, but if that doesn’t work you give up. Go and see a dermatologist and they will be able to take better care of you. At the very least you will know exactly what you have to do from now on.
