Ambrosia Cake Recipe

Ingredients

Serving Size : 1

  • 1 Box White Cake Mix
  • 2 Boxes Orange Gelatin Powder
  • 1 Cup Boiling Water
  • 4 Eggs
  • 3/4 Cup Salad Oil

Frosting:

  • 1 Can Crushed Pineapple
  • 1 Box Powdered Sugar
  • 5 Sections Mandarin Oranges
  • 1 Maraschino Cherry

Method

  1. Coconut
  2. Dissolve gelatin in hot water.
  3. Cool a few minutes.
  4. Add gelatin to cake mix with all other ingredients.
  5. Mix about 2 minutes on medium speed.
  6. Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 1/2 inch pan.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes.

FROSTING:

  1. Combine, pineapple with powdered sugar.
  2. Mix well and spread on hot cake.
  3. Sprinkle coconut over pineapple.
  4. Decorate top with five mandarin orange sections in a circle with a maraschino cherry in the center.
