Baked Fish In Herb Sauce Portuguese Recipe


  • 2 lbs. fish fillets
  • salt and pepper.
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 tbsp. Wesson oil
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • basil, Thyme (a pinch).


  1. Sprinkle fish with salt, pepper
  2. Place in shallow baking pan
  3. In saucepan, combine remaining ingredients, bring to boil and simmer 5 minutes
  4. Pour over fish and bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes
  5. Baste occasionally
