Broiled Teriyaki Sablefish Seafood Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sherry
  • 1 clove garlic — minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger root — grated
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 2 sablefish steaks — (about 6 oz. each)
  • lemon wedges

Method

  1. Combine soy sauce, sherry, garlic, ginger and honey
  2. Marinate sablefish in soy mixture about 1 hour; turn after 30 minutes
  3. Broil 4 inches from heat, allowing 10 minutes cooking time per inch of thickness measured at its thickest part or until sablefish flakes easily when tested with a fork
  4. Garnish with lemon wedges *1/4 tsp ground ginger may be substituted
