Have patience. It could take up to one month for a blachead to disappear completely. The less you poke at blackheads and acne, the better.

Blackhead

A blackhead occurs when the trapped sebum and bacteria partially open to the surface and turn black due to melanin, the skin's pigment. The difference between other types of acne and a blackhead is that blackheads are exposed to oxygen which causes the black appearance. Blackheads can last for a long time because the contents very slowly drain to the surface.
