Low Carb Eating for HealthOver the coming months, I will be updating these pages with my personal story about low carb eating. Sure, if you arrived here wanting to know about losing weight, low carb eating will do that for you, BUT that's not what this is all about. This is what it's
all about >>>>>
Yes you will see adverts on this site - I've got to eat
- but that's where it stops. Low carb eating is a subject very dear to my
heart and I won't try and sell you anything or make you part with money in any
way. I'd just like to think I have If you want to email before these pages get finished please do so. In the meantime I will just say that I have tried every diet under the sun to try and improve my health. I was taking a huge amount of medication, had hypertension, high cholesterol, acid reflux, CFS, depression, you name it I was taking medication for it. No more! That's what low carb eating has done for me. Gone are the days when I read and believed everything on the net. Whenever some-one sends me something about diet (by that I mean eating not losing weight), I know check out all the scientific studies before I even think about it. No studies - straight in the bin! So why am I so convinced about low carb eating? My BP is good, my cholesterol ratios are great, I feel good but get worse quickly as soon as I eat the carbs. I tried my theories out on my hubby and he's off all his meds too. He was in real danger from diabetes. More to come later but in the meantime read Gary Taubes A Big Fat Lie?: What If Fat Doesn't Make You Fat? Consider getting the book, see below. Being honest I make about a few cents/pence if you buy it, but you can just as easily get it from the library or read the gist of it at Mercola or by searching the net. One thing I will say, if you are going to stick at a low carb eating plan for life, you have to be totally convinced the the government has it wrong when it blames fat for just about everything. Carbs are the real problem and you must truly believe this to make such a drastic change to your life - and trust me - following a low carb eating plan is a life-long commitment.

A Big Fat Lie? |
Synopsis
Mainstream nutritional science has demonised dietary fat for 50 years yet
hundreds of millions of dollars of research have failed to prove that eating a
low-fat diet will help you live longer. Nutrition and obesity scientists have
struggled to make sense of the paradox that obesity has become epidemic, that
diabetes rates have soared and the incidence of heart disease has not declined
over this period. Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution, The Zone and Sugar Busters are
some of the books that have sold millions advocating low carbohydrate diets as
the route to health, well-being and an ideal weight. A Big Fat Lie? makes sense
of this paradox, and is essential reading for anyone trying to decide which diet
- low fat or low carbohydrate - is truly the healthy diet, leading to optimal
weight and health. The book debunks the popular misconceptions on health and
takes a hard look at the corporate world of the diet industry.
