High Protein Foods

Role of Protein in Diets

Protein is a key ingredient in helping you boost metabolism and burn more fat. Protein is calorie-dense so small quantities will take a much longer time to digest and help you feel full for longer.

With a fitness program, the amino acids in protein help you build lean muscles faster, which is a key factor in burning body fat because the main energy source for muscle is actually fat

An extra pound of muscle means your body burns additional 30–50 calories per day so do the math with 10 extra lbs

Protein Powder

Protein is protein and it makes no significant difference how you get it and, for the most part, whn you get it  Eating more protein than you need will only add calories and therefore fat. Many protein shakes and protein bars are supposedly an entire meal replacement but if your goal is to lose weight and get lean, this is a really bad idea!
