Dungeness Crab Cakes Seafood Recipe

Ingredients

  • 10 ounces dungeness crab meat — (about 2 cups)
  • –thawed if necessary
  • 1 cup soft bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup minced green onion
  • 1/4 cup celery — minced
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 egg — beaten
  • 1 generous dash bottled hot pepper sauce
  • 1 dash salt and pepper
  • flour
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients except flour and oil; mix well
  2. Chill
  3. Shape into 4 cakes, about 3/4 inch thick
  4. Dust with flour
  5. Saute crab cakes in hot oil on both sides about 10 minutes or until golden brown
  6. Makes 4 crab cakes
  7. Serving Suggestions: For hot crab sandwiches, serve on toasted English muffins
  8. Delicious served with chili sauce
