Low Fat Gingered Flank Steak Recipe – Category: Low-Fat
- 1 1 1/2 pound lean beef flank steak
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons grated gingerroot or
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- Trim fat from beef steak.
- Cut both sides of beef into diamond pattern 1/8-inch deep.
- Place in shallow glass or plastic dish.
- Mix remaining ingredients; pour over beef.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours, turning occasionally.
- Remove beef from marinade; reserve marinade.
- Spray broiler pan rack with nonstick cooking spray.
- Place beef on rack in broiler pan.
- Broil with top 3 inches from heat 12 to 14 minutes, turning once and brushing frequently with marinade, until desired doneness.
- Slice beef diagonally across grain into thin slices.
