Low Fat Yogurt Cheese Recipe


  • 1 cup plain nonfat yogurt


  1. Use yogurt without pectin, cornstarch, gelatin or gums.
  2. Set a fine-mesh sieve over a bowl or line a colander with a double layer of cheesecloth or paper towels.
  3. Spoon in nonfat plain yogurt.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
  5. One cup yogurt makes about 1/3 cup yogurt cheese.
