Ingredients

  • 1 cup (180 g) chopped tomatoes
  • ½ cup (75 g) uncooked macaroni
  • ½ cup (80 g) chopped onion
  • ¼ cup (40 g) chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 1 can (15 ounces, or 420 g) no-salt-added kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can 15 ounces, or 420 g no-salt-added chickpeas, drained
  • 475 ml low-salt vegetable broth

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker
  2. Cook on low 5 to 6 hours
  3. Yield: 6 servings
  4. Per serving: 224 g water; 216 calories (7% from fat, 24% from protein, 70% from carb)
