Fava Beans Portuguese Ingredients

Portuguese Fava Beans Portuguese

  • 1 lb. fava beans
  • 2 lg. onions
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 3 tbsp. fresh parsley (approximately)
  • 1/2 lb. chorico
  • Dash of salt and pepper
  • 1 lg. fresh tomato

    • Method

  • Cut the tip of the fava beans and soak them overnight.
  • Cook beans until they are well done and soft.
  • Fry onions, garlic and chorico in a little olive oil, then put in the rest of the ingredients and simmer for one hour.
  • Pour over the favas when the favas are done.
  • If you have too much water in the favas drain some out.
