Ingredients
- 3 pounds (1.3 kg) extra-lean ground beef
- 1 cup (160 g) thinly sliced onions
- 1 can (280 g) low-salt cream of mushroom soup
- 4 ounces (115 g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1½ cups (355 ml) beer
- ½ cup (120 g) low-salt ketchup
- bay leaf ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Method
- Place meat in slow cooker
- Combine remaining ingredients
- Pour over meat
- Cover and cook on low 7 to 9 hours or on high 4 to 6 hours
- Remove bay leaf before serving
- Yield: 12 servings
- Per serving: 146 g water; 307 calories (60% from fat, 30% from protein, 9% from carb)
