Pizza Casserole Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (455 g) sausage
  • 1 1 cup (160 g) chopped onion
  • 1 pound (455 g) uncooked pasta
  • 785g low-salt spaghetti sauce
  • 490 g no-salt-added tomato sauce
  • ¾ cup (175 ml) water
  • 115g mushrooms, sliced
  • 115g pepperoni
  • 230 g shredded mozzarella

Method

  1. Brown sausage and onion in skillet
  2. Drain
  3. Place half of mixture in slow cooker
  4. Spread half the pasta over the sausage mixture
  5. Combine sauces, water, and mushrooms
  6. Ladle half over pasta
  7. Repeat layers
  8. Top with pepperoni, then cheese
  9. Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours
  10. Yield: 6 servings
  11. Per serving: 289 g water; 815 calories (42% from fat, 15% from protein, 43% from carb)
