Barbecued Ham Slow Cooker Recipe


  • 360 g sliced onions
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 3 pounds (1.3 kg) reduced-sodium boneless ham
  • 475 ml water
  • 2 cups (500 g) barbecue sauce


  1. Place half of the onions in bottom of slow cooker
  2. Stick cloves in ham and place it on top of onions in slow cooker
  3. Put the rest of the onions on top
  4. Add water
  5. Cook on low 10 to 12 hours
  6. Shred or cut up meat and onion
  7. Put back into slow cooker
  8. Add barbecue sauce
  9. Cook 4 to 6 hours more
  10. Yield: 24 servings
  11. Per serving: 83 g water; 101 calories (15% from fat, 41% from protein, 43% from carb)
