Slow Cooker Roast Chicken Recipe


  • 1 whole chicken
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika


  1. Crumple three pieces of aluminum foil into 3-to 4-inch (7
  2. 5 to 10 cm) balls and place them in the bottom of the slow cooker
  3. Rinse the chicken, inside and out, under cold running water
  4. Pat dry with paper towels
  5. Season the chicken with the pepper and paprika and place in the slow cooker on top of the crumpled aluminum foil
  6. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour and then turn down to low for about 8 to 10 hours or until the chicken is no longer pink and the juices run clear
  7. Yield: 8 servings
  8. Per serving: 37 g water; 59 calories (25% from fat, 74% from protein, 1% from carb)
