Soy-Glazed Tofu Recipe

Ingredients

Makes 4 servings

  • 1 pound extra-firm tofu, drained, cut into 1/2-inch slices and pressed
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup toasted sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

Method

  1. Blot the tofu dry and arrange in a 9 x 13inch baking dish and set aside
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, oil, vinegar and sugar and bring to a boil
  3. Pour the hot marinade onto the tofu and set aside to marinate 30 minutes, turning once
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F
  5. Bake the tofu for 30 minutes, turning once about halfway through
  6. Serve immediately or allow to cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate until needed
