Cheddar Parmesan Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 5 cups sliced, cooked and peeled potatoes 1/4 cup bread crumbs

Method

  1. In a saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
  2. Stir in flour until smooth.
  3. Gradually add milk; cook and stir over medium heat until mixture thickens.
  4. Remove from heat and add salt and cheeses.
  5. Stir until Cheddar cheese melts.
  6. Place potatoes in a greased 2-quart baking dish and add cheese mixture, stirring gently to mix.
  7. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top.
  8. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees F for 30 to 35 minutes.

Makes 6 to 8 servings.
