Ingredients
- Serving Size : 1
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 Eggs
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate – melted and cooled
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- chocolate Glaze.
Method
- Mix flour with baking soda; set aside.
- Cream butter, sugar, vanilla and salt until fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time until well blended.
- Stir in chocolate and nuts.
- Stir in flour mixture alternately with buttermilk until smooth and well blended.
- Pour into greased and floured 9x9x2 inch baking pan.
- Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 35 minutes or until pick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool on rack.
- Pour warm chocolate glaze on cake the spread with spatula and let set.
