Rosemary Scones


Makes 8 scones

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/3 cup plain soy milk
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh rosemary


  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F
  2. Lightly oil a baking sheet and set aside
  3. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt
  4. In a medium bowl, combine the oil, soy milk and rosemary
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just blended
  6. Do not overmix
  7. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface and press the dough into a 1-inch-thick circle
  8. Cut the dough into 8 wedges and place them on the prepared baking sheet
  9. Bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes
  10. Cool for 5 minutes
  11. Serve warm
