Easy Chicken Fried Steak

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 6
  • 2 pounds round steak – 3/4 inch thick
  • salt and pepper
  • flour
  • 4 tablespoons fat
  • water

Method

  1. Rub steak liberally with salt and pepper.
  2. Pound as much flour into it as possible.
  3. Brown slowly on both sides in hot cooking fat.
  4. Add a tablespoon or two of water.
  5. Cover and steam or simmer a few minutes to make fork tender.
