Easy Hot Cocoa Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (100 g) sugar
  • ½ cup (45 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 475 ml boiling water
  • 3½ cups (448 g) nonfat dry milk powder
  • 475 ml boiling water
  • 4 L water
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Method

  1. Combine sugar and cocoa powder in slow cooker
  2. Add 2 cups (475 ml) boiling water
  3. Stir well to dissolve
  4. Add dry milk powder, 6 cups (1
  5. 4 L) water, and vanilla
  6. Stir well to dissolve
  7. Cover and cook on low 4 hours, or on high 1 to 1½ hours
  8. Before serving, beat with rotary beater to make frothy
  9. Ladle into mugs
  10. Yield: 9 servings
  11. Per serving: 212 g water; 150 calories (5% from fat, 26% from protein, 70% from carb)
