Grandmothers Egg Custard Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 1
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cups milk

Method

  1. Mix sugar and egg yolks.
  2. Measure out 3 cups milk and use some of it to dissolve cornstarch, then add to milk and butter, mix well.
  3. Beat egg whites and add to milk mixture.
  4. Pour into pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
