Grits Cheese Souffle Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 C. regular grits, cooked
  • 1 tsp onion salt
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 3/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 C. butter
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 3/4 lb. cheddar cheese, shredded
  • paprika

Method

  1. In a large bowl, add the cooked grits, onion salt, garlic salt, Worcestershire sauce and butter and mix until well combined
  2. Add the beaten eggs and cheese and stir combine
  3. Transfer the mixture into a 2 1/2-quart baking dish and sprinkle with the paprika generously
  4. Refrigerate, covered overnight
  5. Set your oven to 350 degrees F
  6. Remove from the refrigerator and keep aside for at least 15 minutes before baking
  7. Cook in the oven for about 1 1/2 hours
