Keto Almond Crust Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups (225 g) almonds
  • 1/4 cup (30 g) vanilla whey protein powder
  • 1/4 cup (56 g) butter, melted

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C, or gas mark 4)
  2. Using a food processor with the Sblade in place, grind the almonds to a consistency similar to cornmeal
  3. Add the protein powder and butter; pulse to combine well
  4. Turn out into a pie plate you’ve sprayed with nonstick cooking spray and press firmly and evenly into place, building up around sides
  5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until edges are starting to brown lightly
  6. Remove from oven and cool

Makes 8 servings

  1. Each serving will have 6 grams of carbohydrate and 3 grams of fiber, for a usable carb count of 3 grams; 7 grams protein
