Keto Firecracker Tofu Recipe

Ingredients

Servings : 4

For the Crispy Tofu:

  • 1 package extra-firm tofu pressed
  • 1 Tablespoon sesame or olive oil
  • 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon arrowroot starch or cornstarch

For the Firecracker Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup hot sauce such as Frank’s
  • 2 Tablespoon Sriracha
  • 1/2 cup erythritol such as Brown Sugar Swerve
  • 1 Tablespoon coconut aminos or soy sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Method

For the Tofu:

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F
  2. Slice and cube tofu, then toss with oil, soy sauce, and arrowroot powder
  3. Spread the tofu cubes onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or non-stick silicone baking mat
  4. Bake for 22-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy on the outside

For the Firecracker Sauce:

  1. Whisk together sauce ingredients in a saucepan
  2. Cook on medium heat until sauce thickens; remove from heat and set aside
  3. Add tofu and sauce to a large mixing bowl and toss until all tofu is coated
  4. Serve with veggies and/or cauliflower rice
