Multi-Bean Chili Slow Cooker Recipe
Ingredients
- ½ pound (225 g) extra-lean ground beef
- ½ pound (225 g) sausage
- 1 cup (160 g) chopped onion
- 1 can (15 ounces, or 420 g) kidney beans, no-salt-added, undrained
- 1 can (15 ounces, or 420 g) black beans, no-salt-added, undrained
- 1 can (15 ounces, or 420 g) pinto beans, no-salt-added, undrained
- 1 can (14 ounces, or 400 g) no-salt-added stewed tomatoes, undrained
- 1 can (15 ounces, or 420 g) no-salt-added tomato sauce
- 2 tbsps (15 g) salt-free mexican seasoning
- 3 tablespoons (45 g) brown sugar
- 2 tbsps (23 g) chili powder
Method
- Brown beef, sausage, and onion together in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat
- Combine meat mixture and remaining ingredients in large slow cooker
- Mix well
- Cook on low 8 to 10 hours
- Yield: 12 servings
- Per serving: 146 g water; 368 calories (24% from fat, 23% from protein, 52% from carb)
