Mushrooms And Peas For Pasta Or Rice Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 4
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 10 ounce fresh mushrooms sliced
  • 1/2 pint heavy cream (room temp)
  • 1 pint half and half (room temp)
  • 5 ounce frozen baby peas
  • 1/2 cup grated parmigiana cheese
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • pasta or rice

Method

  1. Melt butter in olive oil.
  2. Sautee mushrooms and peas about 5 minute.
  3. Add wine and simmer 5 minutes.
  4. Turn off heat.
  5. Add cream and half and half and mix well.
  6. Never cook cream or half and half on high heat- it will separate
  7. Cook pasta or rice according to directions and drain well but keep hot
  8. Mix with sauce and toss with 1/2 th cheese.
  9. Serve hot with extra cheese on the side.
