Portuguese Classic Soup Recipe

Ingredients

• 6 c. water (boiling)
• 2 sm. or 1 med. onion, chopped
• 1 1/2-2 Linguisa (Portuguese sausage) if unavailable, Kielbasa can be used
• 4 potatoes, lg. chunks
• 2 lg. cans white kidney beans
• 2 lg. cans mustard greens

Method

1. Combine first 3 ingredients and cook for 20 minutes
2. Then add last 3 ingredients and cook until potatoes are done
3. Add 1/2 stick margarine or butter if desired
4. Serve with Italian bread or French bread
