Air Fryer Bread And Butter Pudding

Beautiful crisp edges and a soft custardy middle – Bread and butter pudding is a traditional type of British bread pudding made of buttered bread, raisins/currants and egg custard.

Air Fryer Bread And Butter Pudding


  • 1 egg
  • 1¼ cups (300 ml) milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla optional
  • ½ tsp cinnamon optional
  • 3 to 4 slices white bread, crusts removed, buttered
  • 1/4 cup (55 g) brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup (50 g) raisins


  1. Preheat the air fryer to 180C/350F

  2. Mix the egg, sugar, milk, cinnamon and vanilla extract together in a large bowl.

  3. Slice the bread of your choice, butter it and cut into smaller triangles

  4. Arrange in 2 layers, overlapping slices in the bottom of your dish, leaving some edges sticking out at the top so that they crisp up.

  5. Pour in the egg mixture.

  6. Bake for 25 minutes (+/-)  in the preheated air fryer
