Saucy Steak Skillet Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 6
  • 1 pound beef boneless round steak – cut into serving
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion – chopped
  • 1 can whole potatoes – drained (reserve – liquid) (16 oz)
  • 1/4 cup catsup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons bell pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon instant beef bouillon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 package frozen Italian green beans – (10 oz)
  • 1 jar sliced pimiento – drained (2 oz)

Method

  1. Coat beef steak pieces with flour; pound into beeF
  2. Brown beef in oil in 10″ skillet; push beef to side.
  3. Cook and stir onion in oil until tender; drain.
  4. Add enough water to reserved potato liquid to measure 1 cup.
  5. Mix potato liquid, catsup, Worcestershire sauce, pepper flakes, instant bouillon, salt, marjoram and pepper; pour on beef and onion.
  6. Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
  7. Cover and simmer until beef is tender, 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.
  8. Rinse frozen beans under running cold water to separate.
  9. Add potatoes, beans and pimiento to skillet.
  10. Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
  11. Cover and simmer until beans are tender, 10 to 15 minutes.
