Ingredients
Makes about 2 cups
- 1/3 cup vegan margarine
- 1 1/2 cups chopped walnut pieces
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
Method
- In a large skillet, melt the margarine over medium heat
- Add the walnuts and cook, stirring constantly, until lightly toasted
- Remove from the heat and stir in the maple syrup, stirring until the nuts are well coated
- Keep warm until ready to serve
- Store leftover sauce covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days
