Tahini-Lemon Sauce

Tahini-Lemon Sauce

Ingredients

Makes about 1 cup

  • 3 tablespoons tahini (sesame paste) 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1/3 cup water, plus more if needed
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley

Method

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the tahini, garlic, lemon juice and soy sauce
  2. Whisk in the oil and water
  3. Blend well
  4. Stir in the parsley, adding more water, a tablespoon at a time, if the sauce is too thick
  5. This sauce can be served at room temperature or heated in a saucepan over low heat until warm
  6. If not using right away, transfer to a container, cover and refrigerate until needed
  7. Properly stored, the sauce will keep for 2 to 3 days
  8. Reheat the sauce in a saucepan over low heat to warm
