Walking over 3 miles an hour is classed as moderate exercise. 2.5 hours every week, so most experts suggest 30 minutes a day, five days a week or if you prefer, 20 minutes every day. Over 35s Men over 35 manage to brisk walk roughly 7.4 miles in an hour. Women over 35 a little less, 7.2 miles.

Over 60s Men over 60, on average brisk walk 7 miles in an hour while Women over 60 brisk walk 6.9 miles.
