Contraindications, Interactions, and Side Effects (Ignatius Bean) – Not covered (AHP). One bean can poison (1.5 mg strychnine = 30-50 mg seed) and generate anxiety, backache, enhanced reflexes, equilibrium disorders, heightened sense perception, pain, and stiff neck; then comes convulsions, dyspnea, and twitching.
