Authentic Salmon Chowder Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (900 g) salmon fillets
  • 1 cup (160 g) chopped onion
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 475 ml water
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 355 ml fat-free evaporated milk

Method

  1. Cut salmon into bite-size pieces
  2. Place in slow cooker
  3. Add onion, potatoes, water, and pepper
  4. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 8 hours
  5. Add evaporated milk and continue cooking until heated through
  6. Yield: 6 servings
  7. Per serving: 451 g water; 504 calories (30% from fat, 31% from protein, 38% from carb)
