Pickled Okra Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 1
  • 2 quarts small okra – wash leave part of
  • 2 cups cider vinegar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper
  • 1 tablespoon mustard seed

Method

  1. In large pot heat vinegar, water, sugar, salt, red pepper and mustard seed to boiling.
  2. Put okra in hot vinegar mixture and bring to a boil.
  3. Cook about 10 minutes.
  4. Pack loosely in hot canning jars and seal.
  5. Chill before serving.
