Nursery Chocolate Pudding Recipe

Ingredients

  • Serving Size : 8
  • 1/3 cup cornstarch
  • sugar.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 Qt. milk
  • 6 ounces semisweet chocolate pieces
  • 2 tablespoons orange marmalade or chopped candied
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Method

  1. Half-and-half or milk
  2. In 3-quart heavy saucepan stir together cornstarch, 1/4 cup sugar and the salt.
  3. Gradually stir in milk and cook and stir over medium heat until mixture thickens and is smooth.
  4. Add chocolate and stir until melted.
  5. Stir in marmalade.
  6. Pour into serving dish and sprinkle with about 1 tbsp sugar to prevent skin form forming.
  7. Serve slightly warm or chilled with half-and-halF
  8. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
  9. MICROWAVE Combine cornstarch, sugar, salt and milk as above in 3-quart glass casserole; cook 10 minutes or until thickened and smooth, stirring 3 times with wire whisk.
  10. Add chocolate; stir until melted and smooth.
  11. Stir in flavoring.
