Keto Tuna Melt Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 can (6 ounces, or 170 g) albacore tuna, drained and mashed
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1 cup (115 g) shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 3 slices (1 1/2 ounces, or 42 g) processed American cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons (20 g) ground flaxseed meal or low-carb bake mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon salt

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C, or gas mark 6) and grease a 9-inch (23-cm) pie plate with the oil
  2. In a large bowl, combine the tuna, cheeses, eggs, flaxseed meal, garlic, and salt
  3. Mix well
  4. Pour the tuna mixture into the prepared pie plate, pat down firmly, and bake for approximately 30 minutes or until browned and bubbly

Makes 3 servings

  1. Each with 5 grams of carbohydrates and 3 grams of fiber, for a total of 2 grams of usable carbs and 38 grams of protein
