Asian Pork Roast Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds (1.3 kg) pork loin roast
  • ½ cup (120 ml) low-salt soy sauce
  • ½ cup (120 ml) sherry
  • ½ teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp (9 g) dry mustard
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp thyme

Method

  1. Place the pork roast in a resealable plastic bag; set in a deep bowl
  2. Thoroughly blend together the soy sauce, sherry, garlic, mustard, ginger, and thyme
  3. Pour marinade over meat in bag; close bag
  4. Place the roast in the refrigerator and marinate for 2 to 3 hours or overnight
  5. Transfer the pork roast and marinade to a slow cooker
  6. Cover and cook on high for 3½ to 4 hours
  7. Lift roast out onto a cutting board; let stand for 10 minutes before slicing
  8. Yield: 8 servings
  9. Per serving: 147 g water; 253 calories (29% from fat, 65% from protein, 7% from carb)
