Asian Ribs Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup (60 g) brown sugar
  • 1 cup (235 ml) low-salt soy sauce
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) sesame oil
  • 2 tbsps (28 ml) olive oil
  • 2 tbsps (28 ml) rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsps (28 ml) lime juice
  • 2 tbsps (20 g) minced garlic
  • 2 tbsps (12 g) minced fresh ginger
  • ½ teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 3 pounds (1.3 kg) country-style pork ribs

Method

  1. Stir together the brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, olive oil, rice vinegar, lime juice, garlic, ginger, and hot pepper sauce in the slow cooker
  2. Add the ribs; cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight
  3. Before cooking, drain marinade and discard
  4. Cook on low for 9 hours
  5. Yield: 9 servings
  6. Per serving: 28 g water; 104 calories (78% from fat, 6% from protein, 16% from carb)
