Drop Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients

Makes about 12 biscuits

  • 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup vegan margarine
  • ¾ cup plain soy milk

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F
  2. Lightly oil a baking sheet and set aside
  3. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt
  4. Use a pastry blender or fork to cut in the margarine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs
  5. Add the soy milk, stirring just long enough to form a soft dough
  6. Drop the dough by the tablespoonful onto the prepared baking sheet and bake until golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes
  7. Serve hot
