Crock Pot Honey Pecan Chicken Slow Cooker Recipe


  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • freshly ground black pepper.
  • 2 Tbsps. extra virgin coconut oil
  • cup raw, local honey
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasonings
  • a dash of ground cinnamon.
  • a handful of fresh Italian flat leaf parsley (chopped).


  1. In a saute pan, add the oil and heat over a medium-high heat
  2. Use half of the salt and pepper to season the chicken
  3. Place the chicken in the pan and season the other side of the breasts with the balance salt and pepper
  4. Slice chicken in a few places and cook each side until slightly golden in color (Approx 3 minutes on each side)
  5. In a bowl, mix the Italian seasonings, cinnamon, garlic and honey; set aside
  6. Put the cooked chicken in the crock pot
  7. Pour the honey mix over the chicken
  8. Sprinkle the pecans on top
  9. Cook; 7 to 8 hours on a low heat or 3 ½ to 4 hours on a high heat
  10. When done, place the chicken on a dish and cover with an aluminum foil
  11. Allow the chicken to rest for 7 to 10 minutes
  12. Once the chicken has cooled, shred it and place back in the sauce
  13. You can serve the beast as a whole with a little sauce drizzled on the top
  14. Garnish with fresh parsley
