Crock Pot Chicken Tikka Masala Slow Cooker Recipe


  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 6 chicken thighs boneless, skinless, cut into 1 pieces?
  • 1 yellow onion diced
  • 2 tsp garlic minced
  • 2 tsp coarse salt
  • 1 1/2 tbsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 28 oz. canned diced tomatoes
  • 15 oz. coconut milk
  • cilantro to garnish.


  1. Brown the chicken breasts in oil in a pan and then transfer it to the crock pot
  2. Saute onion in the pan and then add garlic, salt, paprika and garam masala and saute
  3. Put the tomato paste in the pan and cook for a minute after which add the tomatoes and simmer
  4. Pour the entire tomato sauce and the coconut milk into the crock pot over the chicken
  5. Cook covered for 4 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low
  6. During the last 30 minutes of cooking uncover the cooker and allow the sauce to thicken slightly
  7. Garnish with cilantro
