Chicken And Sun-Dried Tomatoes Slow Cooker Recipe


  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
  • 3 pounds (1 3 kg) boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into serving-size pieces
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) white wine
  • 1¼ cups (295 ml) low-salt chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • ½ cup (55 g) oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes, cut into silvers


  1. Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat
  2. Cook several pieces of chicken at a time but make sure not to crowd the skillet so the chicken can brown evenly
  3. Transfer chicken to slow cooker as it finishes browning
  4. Add garlic, wine, chicken broth, and basil to skillet
  5. Bring to a boil
  6. Scrape up any bits from the bottom of the pan
  7. Pour over chicken
  8. Scatter tomatoes over the top
  9. Cover and cook on low 4 to 6 hours
  10. Yield: 8 servings
  11. Per serving: 302 g water; 288 calories (21% from fat, 75% from protein, 4% from carb)
