Crock Pot Pulled Chicken Slow Cooker Recipe


  • 1 tbsp coconut butter
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 cups tomato ketchup
  • 1/2 cup apricot preserves tbsp cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce tsp liquid smoke.
  • 1 tsp molasses.
  • dash of allspice.
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/8 to 1/4 tsp ground cayenne pepper
  • 1 lb boneless chicken breasts
  • 2 lb boneless chicken thighs


  1. Saute the onion and garlic in a pan with the melted coconut butter
  2. Add the ketchup, vinegar, apricot preserves, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, molasses, allspice, black pepper and cayenne and simmer for around 3 minutes
  3. Add 1 ½ cup of sauce in the insert of the crock pot and add the chicken pieces
  4. Cook covered on low for 4-5 hours
  5. Shred the chicken and serve
