Authentic Curried Chicken Slow Cooker Recipe


  • boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed
  • 1 cup (260 g) low-salt salsa
  • 1 cup (160 g) chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp (6.3 g) curry powder
  • 1 cup (230 g) sour cream


  1. Place the chicken in the slow cooker
  2. In a medium bowl, combine salsa, onion, and curry powder
  3. Pour the sauce over the meat in the cooker
  4. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours or cook on low for 5 to 6 hours
  5. Remove chicken to serving platter and cover to keep warm
  6. Add sour cream to slow cooker and stir into salsa until well blended
  7. Serve over the chicken
  8. Yield: 5 servings
  9. Per serving: 161 g water; 173 calories (36% from fat, 44% from protein, 20% from carb)

Serve with brown rice or couscous
