Honey And Cinnamon Yams Slow Cooker Recipe
Ingredients
- 600 g yams, cooked, peeled, and diced
- 1½ tablespoons (12 g) cornstarch
- 2 tbsps (23 ml) cold water
- 1½ cups (510 g) honey
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1½ teaspoons lemon rind
- ¼ cup (60 ml) orange juice
- 2 tsps lemon juice
- 3 tbsps (42 g) unsalted butter
Method
- Place yams in slow cooker
- Combine remaining ingredients and pour over
- Cook on low until done, about 4 to 6 hours
- Yield: 6 servings
- Per serving: 96 g water; 427 calories (12% from fat, 2% from protein, 87% from carb)
