Honey And Cinnamon Yams Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

  • 600 g yams, cooked, peeled, and diced
  • 1½ tablespoons (12 g) cornstarch
  • 2 tbsps (23 ml) cold water
  • 1½ cups (510 g) honey
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1½ teaspoons lemon rind
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) orange juice
  • 2 tsps lemon juice
  • 3 tbsps (42 g) unsalted butter

Method

  1. Place yams in slow cooker
  2. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over
  3. Cook on low until done, about 4 to 6 hours
  4. Yield: 6 servings
  5. Per serving: 96 g water; 427 calories (12% from fat, 2% from protein, 87% from carb)
